Hip Hop classes meet once a week for 1 hour from August to June, ending the year in a full theatre production. We have 2 levels of Hip Hop and placement is based on age as well as dance experience.
Hip Hop 1&2:
- Fridays 5:30 – 6:30
Beginner/Intermediate: Hip Hop 1&2 is a combined class that is an introduction to hip hop movement. This class enhances concepts including musicality, coordination, rhythm, style, and improvisation. Hip Hop 1&2 encourages students to step outside the box by bring their own individual style and personality to the movement while building strength and stamina as well.
Hip Hop 3:
- Fridays 6:30 – 7:30
Advanced: Hip Hop 3 is designed for intermediate and advanced dancers. This class builds on the concepts of Hip Hop 1/2 and introduces more complex movement and increasingly intricate combinations. Hip Hop 3 students will be become familiar several different styles of hip hop and focuses on maintaining coordination and style throughout even difficult movement.
